The Position: North America- Sorona Downstream Sales & Marketing Representative (017654W-01)

The Sorona® downstream sales and marketing representative has primary responsibility for the identification, sales, demand creation and coordination of Sorona® downstream channel activity with apparel brand and mill partners in the west coast area. This position reports to the Global Marketing Manager, Biomaterials.

 

Within the Biomaterials business, the sales, marketing and demand generation of Sorona in the apparel segment is a critical driver for business revenue.  Through downstream demand creation, customer relationships, partnership development and training, the Sorona business is creating revenue opportunities and maximizing the value and differentiation for the business.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Identify and gain new brands for Sorona adoption
  • Facilitate and coordinate interaction between brand design, mill partners and DuPont technical team(s)
  • Work with established brand partners to increase Sorona use
  • In conjunction with marketing, establish and execute training plan to educate brand and mill partners on Sorona fiber, applications and technical specifications
  • Identify and gain brand partners for co-promotional activity and facilitate introductions to DuPont marketing
  • Identify and gain new NA mill partners
  • Launch and grow new product sales within the region
  • Assist with NA trade show planning and execution

 

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5-7 years field sales experience
  • Willing to travel 75%+ of time with some limited international travel
  • Experience with branded product sales
  • Experience working for or with consumer products companies
  • Has excellent organizational, time-management and project management skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to achieve goals working independently, home-based
  • Excellent communication, written and oral, skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate internally across departments
  • Can think analytically and has a natural curiosity, a willingness to learn new skills and contribute new ideas
  • Experience using Word, Powerpoint, Excel

 

Preferred qualifications

  • West coast based
  • Experience in apparel, fashion or outdoor industry
  • Textile, material or design degree/experience
  • Experience with sustainable products or businesses
  • Understanding of Life Cycle Analysis concepts
