The Position: Marketing Manager

Eartheasy Distribution is expanding, and is looking for a Marketing Manager enthusiastic about sustainability, and the outdoor industry.

The Marketing Manager will work closely with sales, and is responsible for the creation, management and execution of channel marketing activity for our sports & outdoor brands in the US and Canada.

From collaborating with the largest retailers in the world, to building dedicated landing pages, to managing digital marketing campaigns, your work will be varied and highly valued.

The role of this job is to commercialize sales and marketing programs within all channels of distribution, and to identify channel-specific business-building opportunities; work cross functionally to deliver sales and profit results through commercialization of the overarching brand strategies to the customer/channel.

ABOUT YOU:

You are an experienced marketer with at least 3 years of experience. You have managed channel marketing in the past, with experience in digital, print, and in-store marketing.

Practical in approach and a great team player, you are excited to build young brands through standout channel activity. You are comfortable collaborating with marketing and sales to execute strategy with channel partners, knowing that more integrated campaigns will yield sales success. You thrive on rolling up your sleeves and getting involved, and have a proven track record of using an entrepreneurial approach to maximize return. If currently working for a large organization, it is essential that you can demonstrate how you will be able to adapt to a nimble company where processes will develop in line with our growth. You’re a hands-on team player, able to work in a very fast environment and hungry to help develop the brands we distribute into world-class success stories.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Interpreting marketing and sales data while developing strategic plans
  • Executing campaigns and managing channel calendars
  • Working with channel partners in a B2C and B2B environment
  • Launching new products
  • Managing multiple channel marketing budgets
  • Planning and executing trade shows – experience in event management
  • Personal interest and knowledge of sports and outdoors products
  • Enthusiasm to build young brands through best-in-class channel activity
  • Strong personal communication skills with the ability to communicate well to different audiences and levels of authority
  • Strong writing and presentation skills to formulate compelling selling stories
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in marketing / channel marketing
  • Ability to travel (domestic and international trade shows and customer meetings)
  • Required education: Bachelor's degree

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop annual advertising budgets for our various brands, creating targets and milestones while remaining under budget
  • Conceptualize, execute and manage digital ad strategies, utilizing market research, competitive analysis, and historical sales data
  • Monitor and oversee our e-commerce platforms, and their integration with our ERP
  • Monitor SEO, SEM, Google & Social Media analytics KPIs, while creating regular reports for management
  • Manage our affiliate marketing, email marketing, and social media marketing channels
  • Manage our outside digital marketing agency, to ensure maximum results from our paid campaigns
  • Develop and execute a content marketing strategy for our company, working with our content creation team and social media coordinator
  • Manage our graphic designers to roll out digital and print creatives for our campaigns
  • Facilitate the constructions of highly converting landing pages, while monitoring and improving upon their conversion rates
  • Work with our social media coordinator to grow our social channels and increase engagement and sales
  • Using Google Analytics & other data analysis, regularly evaluate our user experience and provide suggestions for improving our campaigns and e-commerce platforms
  • Maintain regular campaigns while also executing short-notice campaigns
  • Activate at events and trade shows, with unique, brand specific campaigns, while working hand in hand with outside brand marketing management
  • Oversee the maintenance of our media libraries and brand assets
  • Work with inside and outside sales to provide them with necessary marketing support
  • Understand and perform regular margin analysis for our brands, creating brand CLTV, CAC, and max CPA per product
  • Assist with influencer marketing campaigns for our various brands

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Adobe Creative Suite, with a strong emphasis on Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills
  • Google Analytics
  • Mailchimp
  • Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
  • Shopify, BigCommerce, and/or NetSuite experience a plus

Our online store offers products for sustainable living predominantly to the American market.

The Eartheasy Distribution division serving the sports and outdoors markets as a specialty distributor. We supply products from a dozen brands to over 4,000 retailers, from small independents to specialty outdoor and to the largest mass merchants in the US and Canada. This is the division the successful candidate would be working in.

We’re passionate about the brands we work with because we only choose brands which have a positive social or environmental impact. For example, we’ve contributed over $1.5M towards clean water projects in Kenya thanks to our partnership with one of our brands.

The work is demanding but the work environment is casual and fun. We have a beautiful penthouse loft office with fireplace, couches, office dog, and a rooftop patio with a great view of the North Shore mountains and Burrard Inlet.
