As our Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the planning and delivery of the many integrated marketing campaigns that support our brands – ensuring that our ideas turn into actions that further our mission of opening the world through the amazing awe of the great outdoors.

 

For this highly visible role, we need a seasoned marketing generalist who is familiar with the breadth of digital channels, able to develop an integrated digital strategy, and drive actions with measurable impact.  You will develop and execute performance-based digital programs that include a mix of eRetail, social media, display, and SEO/SEM advertising; track performance of digital marketing campaigns; optimize spend and performance based on identified trends and insights.

 

You’ll flex your strategic muscles, seeing three steps ahead, naturally anticipating roadblocks and realizing opportunities that others may not immediately see.

What you will do:

  • Effectively execute the brands’ positioning, identity and marketing messages. Collaborate with product and brand marketing teams as well as outside vendors to ensure that product positioning and messages are aligned with other products, corporate strategy and brand identity.

  • Own and organize the various marketing campaign plans and calendars that unfold throughout our year. Turn those plans into action, executing comprehensive marketing communications (i.e. traditional, grass roots, new media, etc.) in the most cost efficient manner. Be our all-seeing eyes, making sure no opportunity is missed, or detail overlooked to meet company sales, profit and growth objectives.

  • Develop and execute an integrated digital strategy. Create and manage digital assets for consumers and trade, including eCommerce and email assets, SEO/SEM advertising, and sales collateral. Implement social media presence for our brands, coordinating with the brand/product teams in managing content generation.

  • Conduct research to benchmark best practices, understand consumer marketing dynamics to effectively target the consumers/customers. Analyze web trends and development of marketing plans that meet strategic goals.

  • Manage financial resources assigned to marketing efforts and optimize return on the marketing dollars. Collaborate with leadership to prepare and monitor budget assumptions within each product category.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent 

  • 5 years of experience in marketing, product management/marketing, or brand marketing preferably in consumer goods. outdoor recreation / sporting goods preferred

  • Documented experience of leading and developing a team (Talent Catalyst)

  • Experience leading the creative development process, including brief development, reviews and production.

  • Proficient and passionate about new marketing approaches and tactics (e.g. SEM, SEO, digital marketing, lead acquisition and/or generation (online and offline).

  • Ability to effectively plan and lead projects working directly and collaboratively with cross-functional teams, internal key stakeholders and external partners.

  • Ability to effectively toggle between strategic thinking and tactical execution (commercial /Business Acumen) .

  • Adaptive, flexible, and willing to work in fast-paced environment with dynamic business and industry challenges.

  • Professional maturity; ability to work across all levels in the organization and lead projects effectively.

  • Highly committed and willing to go the extra mile to support team, projects and company initiatives.

  • Strong creative and problem-solving skills, strong presentation skills.

  • Highly proficient in all general management tools, including Microsoft Office (Strong PowerPoint skills required, Keynote and other presentation programming skills a plus) and basic design capability ideal (Adobe Suite of products, InDesign, other).

  • Comfortable working in a lean and fast-paced environment
