Job Description & Requirements
Position:
TABAR/Fownes Performance group in Bellingham WA is seeking a full time Technical Developer to join our team to help drive glove development for multiple brands in the outdoor industry. Our ideal candidate is self-starter who is organized, detail oriented and deadline driven with a passion for product and the outdoors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage technical details of product development from initial samples through bulk production
- Evaluate proto samples against design specification sheets and maintain measurement verification charts.
- Source and organize fabrics and trims.
- Support the development of new and innovative material and trims.
- Support the team by managing the process and flow of communication between cross- functioning departments to ensure key development calendar gates are met.
- Help to maintain and update tech packs, BOMs and PLM systems.
Successful candidates will have:
- 3+ Years of relevant or equivalent experience
- Experience in the outdoor industry or apparel category preferred
- College degree or equivalent experience in merchandising, textiles, manufacturing or related fields.
- Knowledge of technical materials and process’s.
- Knowledge of garment or accessories construction and manufacturing.
- Great communication skills, both verbal and written with extreme attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, hardworking, proactive and deadline driven.
