Spyderco, an establised manufacturing company committed to making superior cutlery, has an opening for a seasoned Consumer Direct Sales Manager to join our crew in the Spyderco Factory Outlet Store (SFO) which was recognized by both Outside Magazine and The Denver Post as one of the best companies for which to work. As one of the first faces greeting Spyderco Factory Outlet's guests, the Consumer Direct Sales Manager excels in customer service and efficiently oversees the entire customer experience while delivering sustainable growth. Responsible for all day-to-day floor operations in SFO to include leading and building a strong, effective team, scheduling, inventory control, website order management, customer correspondence (emails and phone), daily reporting, and cash management. Work with Marketing Team to build and maintain SFO's social media and e-commerce direct to consumer programs. Serve as a primary customer contact to field questions, resolve disputes and ensure general customer satifaction and long-term loyalty. Additional duties would include managing consumer shows and factory sales, assisting Warranty & Repair with a full customer experience, create consumer direct only program/product specials and events, implementing strategic planning goals, and serving as a part of the Management Team.
The Spyderco Factory Outlet Store is open Monday-Friday 9:00a - 5:00p and Saturday 10:00a - 5:00p, employee schedules are 40 hours a week over five days, so some Saturdays are required.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business Management or related field preferred - high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum of three years relatable experience
Minimum of two years of leadership experience
Ability to effectively manage a team
Experience in retail management
Experience in retail store setup and organization
Inventory experience a must
Excellent customer service skills to include ability to handle difficult questions regarding product issues
Drop shipping knowledge/experience a plus
Technical skills a plus
Ability to maintain and troubleshoot website/social media
Ability to see the big picture while operating/managing the day to day functions
Detail and quality oriented
Must be honest and reliable
Ability to build and maintain relationships
Ability to effectively communicate, whether verbal or written, with multiple departments, people and vendors
Ability to problem solve and multitask
