*Summary/Objective

*The inside sales manager (ISM), position is responsible for cultivating, managing and driving sales in their given region. Within in the sales territory the ISM oversees independent sales representatives, works to meet established sales expectations, offers support and holds sales team accountable for territory goals. For inside sales, the ISM works in concert with RSMs to support all relevant sales activities. This includes dealer sales calls, business intelligence reporting and event and show support.

Essential Functions

  • Works with independent sales reps to develop business, offer training, support and set goals.
  • Work with accounts, and retailers to develop strategies for the brand, and plan promotions.
  • Support RSMS with reporting and analytics needs. Ensure reporting and communications is frequent and bi-directional.
  • Inside account management, including product set up support.
  • Coordinate with marketing department in retail support, distribution of POP and sales support tools
  • Work with marketing and RSMs for promotional and event support; includes dealer days, promotional events, sales material generation and distribution.
  • Dealer phone support including sales calls, problem resolution and customer service;
  • Create a smooth and consistent workflow between RSMs, data entry and accounting.
  • Collaborate with marketing department on local consumer shows,
  • Join annual trade show
  • Work with accounting department to maintain current A/R and help reduce past due accounts.
  • Work with data entry to allocate product, reduce pricing errors, organize back orders, to deliver high level customer service.
  • Work with purchasing to identify slow moving or discontinued items and work to sell inventory, while minimizing margin loss.
  • Create and distribute sales reports daily, weekly and monthly to key stake holders. Majority of reports will be in excel. Experience with Pivot tables and large data sets highly preffered.
  • Work closely with product department and marketing department to communicate market and product trends. Identify marketing opportunities as well as product development needs.
  • Reports to VP sales, providing information in person, phone, written form, on territory performance, opportunities and issues.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Basic understanding of fishing and fishing tackle
  • 2+ years of work experience in similar position.
  • Sound business judgment, strong analytical skills
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong people skills.
  • Excellent phone etiquette

*Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
*This is a full time position and typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm.

*Travel
*Position requires some traveling within the United States and occasionally to Canada.

Education/Experience:

  • Associates Degree or higher preffered
  • Experience in a leadership role within logistics and warehousing segment
  • Familiar with general office and warehouse operations practices preffered but not required
