At KUHL we resist, defy and oppose the norm. We are a growing business in need of a Senior Marketing Copywriter who can connect with our customer base through multiple channels of communication. This is an exciting opportunity to innovate and integrate marketing campaigns and content across multiple channels that support the KUHL brand vision. In this role, you'll be responsible for crafting copy for: new products, email, landing pages, direct mail, marketing and partnership materials, scripts, blogs, social media, and more with the goal of acquiring and engaging new customers and brand advocates. We work in a fast-paced environment that occasionally requires quick turnarounds and/or sudden shifts in project priorities, so flexibility and grace is critical for success in this position. We are looking for a candidate who is creative, innovative, a team player and excited to contribute to KUHL. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Become our team’s subject matter and audience expert, creating brand experiences that validate the consumer and contribute to continuous innovation in evolving formats, most effective at engaging our target audience.
  • Create a content development plan (including documentation, tracking, production management) and an editorial calendar based on strategic goals, business priorities, product launches and other events.
  • Understand the dynamics of the digital marketing ecosystem and extract key trends, topics and content themes that will help us engage our target audience.
  • Conduct content audits and gap analyses to synthesize findings into recommendations, tests, and actionable next steps. Make recommendations for new and existing content.
  • Write clean, grammatically correct copy that supports the KUHL brand
  • Use tone/voice/story to craft content that is relevant, unique, and engaging
  • Edit and proofread copy on a variety of projects for a variety of different stakeholders
  • Communicate effectively with team members and project owners
  • Work within established writing processes and workflows
  • Accept constructive feedback on a regular basis and use it to grow and improve
  • Have a positive respectful attitude and willingness to learn from others on the team
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product and Sales, to develop a variety of marketing materials
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines
  • Propose copy concepts and present strategic purpose to internal stakeholders
  • Assist other marketing team members to accomplish their strategic initiatives as needed, including: product copy, email copy, social media copy, ad copy, website copy, print and digital assets + more

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in English) or equivalent experience in marketing with an emphasis on communications
  • Excellent storyteller, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • 3-4 years of experience
  • Demonstrable track record of defining and executing highly effective B2B content marketing programs.
  • Metrics-driven, with a relentless focus on user experience and increasing site visits, search rankings and ROI.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Exceptional skill with the nuances of email, social media, and blog writing, including the use of hashtags, emojis and acronyms when/where appropriate
  • Experience writing for e-commerce, marketing or related industries (outdoors, consumer electronics, tech, etc)
  • Proficiency coordinating with a variety of brand stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Digital Marketing copy with a focus on CTR, conversion, and acquisition
  • Ability to write engaging stories and product copy is a must
  • Skill crafting D2C & B2B copy
  • Understanding of SEO concepts
  • Experience working in an agile marketing environment
  • Experience working for creative agency or in-house marketing/creative team
