JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Job Title:                     Marketing Specialist - Canada

Section:                       Canada Marketing

Reports to:                   Regional Marketing Manager

Manager of:                 No Direct Reports

Job Purpose:               This role will be focused on the execution of marketing activities across all Helly Hansen Key Accounts in Canada. This role is expected to execute all Key Account projects and help support the Key Account sales manager and work closely with the Key Account internal marketing teams to fullfill content and product needs.

Key Accountabilities

 

  1. Focus on marketing Helly Hansen Sport at Key Accounts
    1. Execute on the marketing activity plan, media and PR
    2. Help plan and execute all sell-in and sell-through campaigns
    3. Execute all projects per budget allocations
  1. Responsible for the successful planning and implementation of key strategic marketing events, such as, but not limited to:

a.      Sailing Regattas tied to Key Accounts

b.      Ski/Mountain Events tied to Key Accounts

c.      Plan the overall Key Account event calendar to include:

                                    i.          Annual calendar of events – prioritization, resource plans, budgets, establishment of “success metrics”

                                   ii.          Physical management of event process, internal & external resources

                                  iii.          Integration with Retail and Sales teams

                                 iv.          Ordering of product / materials necessary to ensure Event success

  1. Support Sales Team’s

a.      Trade Show’s – provide creative execution of trade show booth, show materials, graphics, marketing programs according to centrally developed theme and focus

b.      Regional Sales Events - provide creative support to ensure a strong, brand presence.

c.      Key Account Management – work with Key Account Manager to provide the marketing execution of key account programs (instore/online programs, staff training programs, custom KA marketing materials etc).

?   Interested in the HH world (e.g  wintersports, sailing, mountain)

?   Understanding of the retail and sporting goods environment

Qualifications:

=        Minimum a bachelor’s degree

 

Experience:

?   +1 year(s) working experience preferably in the sport industry

?   Working experience as a Retail Sales Associate or in Key Account Marketing Management

 

Location:

 

?   Richmond, BC, 20% travel involved
