Spyderco, an established manufacturing company committed to making superior cutlery, is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist. We’re looking for a self-starter with the ability to work with little supervision and direction. Accounts receivable responsibilities include reconciling daily sales, posting payments and reconciling customer accounts, and reconciling general ledger to accounts receivable detail. Credit analysis and collections responsibilities include running credit reports as needed and contacting past due customers to arrange for payment. Accounts payable responsibilities include matching invoices to supporting documents, reconciling accounts, and reconciling general ledger to detail. This position will backup payroll as needed and is part of the companywide phone team.
Salary is commensurate with experience; please state your wage requirement with your response.
Requirements:
• General knowledge of accounting is required, prior bookkeeping experience preferred
• Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft office, experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interface), experience with ERP systems (we currently use Infor Visual), and other major financial software required
• Payroll experience a plus
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills are critical
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Ability to work professionally and effectively with multiple levels and personalities
• Excellent written and verbal communication
