Supply Chain Manager
Position Summary:
As Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring our overall supply chain strategy in order to maximize efficiency and productivity. The Supply Chain Manager position includes hands-on participation in procurement, planning, budgeting, standard costing, cycle counting, supplier networking, best practices, quality, and continued improvement of responsible areas. The Supply Chain Manager also assists with improving the manufacturing and quality processes in collaboration with the Operations Supervisor, Engineering, Scheduling, and other stakeholders.
Essential Job Functions:
Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy
Utilizing MRP, ensure timely receipt of materials to support production and product development schedules and deliver continuous improvement in supplier cost, quality and delivery/lead-time for both domestic and international facilities
Establish, manage, and achieve departmental goals/objectives that provide world-class materials performance and cost savings initiatives to the organization
Establish and track meaningful departmental reports/measurements
Proactively manage material and work order exceptions providing feedback on critical information
Manage raw material inventories
Ensure all outsourced manufacturing is planned and scheduled appropriately to support production requirements on time
Identify and develop strategic suppliers/partnerships to support St. Croix Rod’s business goals
Interface with engineering to meet PDM workflow requirements such as release dates
Support standard costing and provide updates to material standard costs and item master maintenance
Support the annual physical inventory and cycle counting activity
Manage the import/export logistics of materials and finished product
Collaborate with sales, operations, and customer service teams
Identify process bottlenecks and suggest or implement solutions in a timely manner
Train and evaluate others
Provide constructive feedback
Work with finance, sales, and manufacturing team to determine best vendors and distributors
Build and maintain good relationships with vendors
Other duties as assigned
To qualify for consideration for the Supply Chain Manager position, St. Croix is requesting the following qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with experience in purchasing, inventory, planning and ERP systems required
APICS and/or CPIM certification preferred
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize
Ability to travel as required
