POSITION SUMMARY:

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for selling our cutlery product line to independent dealers across the US. The dealers range from outdoor stores, independent hardware stores, small hardware chains, paint supply retailers, lumber yards, and industrial supply companies. The position will service current dealers and prospect for new customers. The position is based at Outdoor Edge’s headquarters in Denver, Colorado. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •        Drive year-over-year sales increase with customers in the assigned territory
  •        Identify new prospective dealers and generate new business
  •        Make outbound follow-up calls and emails to new and existing customers
  •        Assist with creating various sales and marketing materials
  •        Travel to conduct product line reviews and exhibit at trade shows (travel is currently suspended due to covid-19)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  •        2+ years of sales experience in the hardware, outdoor or consumer goods industry preferred
  •        College degree in marketing or another business-related field preferred
  •        Ability to communicate persuasively over the phone, in writing, and in person
  •        Ability to travel occasionally 
  •        Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  •        Ability to learn CRM’s and computer programs quickly 
  •        Experience with SAP Business One is a plus, not required
  •        Able to lift 25 pounds frequently and occasionally lift or move up to 70 pounds

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  •        Compensation will consist of an hourly base rate ranging from $19 to $21 plus an annual bonus
