Market Development Analyst
The Market Development Analyst on our team is responsible for partnering with our sales teams to drive new revenue through data analysis. You will use your data skills to provide revenue-generating recommendations to the sales force and commercial team to impact inventory forecasting for product launches, developing sales programs & promotions and brand development.
What will your typical day be?
= Using your data analytic skills to create and deliver reporting to the sales team to support and effectively analyze their businesses, including providing actionable insights from reports to drive learning and profitable revenue.
= Understanding the needs of our various customer groups and presenting data to support those needs.
= Collaborating with the Marketing and Product teams, to drive existing sales growth and uncover new market opportunities.
= Attending meetings (because every role has some of that)
= Conducting external industry research and write reports as required to bring best practices to our business.
To thrive in this role you must:
= Have experience with product launches, brand development and retail sales.
= Demonstrate a strong understanding of the B2B sales process, retail margin and profitability.
= Be results and action oriented, with experience presenting up and down in an organization.
= Be the Excel guru. In other words, you are the go-to when someone has an Excel question.
= Communicate effectively at all levels.
What other characteristics support your success in this role?
= Proven organizational, analytical and negotiation skills.
= A passion for cycling
= Solid experience in the bike industry is a definite advantage.
= Prior experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other analytics tools
= Strong time management and problems solving skills.
= Ability to travel from time to time.
= A positive attitude combined with strong curiosity for understanding and answers.
= A passion for what you do for work and for fun!
