Job Description & Requirements
?To coordinate the technical aspects of the mountain bike inventory and supervise the technical staff.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
= Coordinate, monitor, administer and evaluate all mountain bike purchases, repairs and mechanical adjustments to the rental inventory.
= Develop and administer a mountain bike training program for all technical staff members working with rental inventory.
= Responsible for the customers' satisfaction of the mountain bike product offered through the rental program.
= Provide adequate inventory and repair parts to satisfy customer demand.
= Develop an inventory control system for parts needed for all bike maintenance and shop sales.
= Deal regularly with outside suppliers and vendors.
= Confer regularly with immediate supervisor regarding inventory and its maintenance; exchange information; resolve problems and the like.
= Prepare inventory reports and record keeping systems as needed.
= Keep abreast of new products and maintenance techniques.
= Maintain a well-organized and clean inventory and maintenance area.
= Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times. Follow the Resort Hospitality Guidelines while interacting with the guests and respond to all guests in a courteous, efficient manner.
= Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
High school education, plus at least 3 years of mountain bike riding experience or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
- Bike maintenance and repair skills
- Two years or more professional shop experience repairing bicycles.
- Advanced bicycle and repair knowledge.
- Has completed some form of certified bike repair classes.
- Also experienced in bottom bracket adjustment, crank arm and pedal installation, stem positioning and securing, rear derailleur rebuilding, aligning and securing brake and shift levers. Front and rear derailleur adjustment, Linear brake adjustment, Freehub overhauling, Threaded headset overhauling, Dropout alignment, Cantilever brake adjusting, Disc brake system troubleshooting and repair, Bottom Bracket fits and troubleshooting, Headset fits and troubleshooting, Wheel spoke and rim troubleshooting, Tire and tube failure comprehension, Tire/tube fits and sizes, Chainring fit and wear, Freewheel removal and fit, Chain-tool compatibility and chain problems, Chainline, Handlebar and stem fits and failures, Derailleur capacity and troubleshooting, Brake lever fits and failures, Front and rear suspension trouble shooting.
- Computer experience with Microsoft word, and outlook knowledge
