Job Description & Requirements
Summary:
Guerrilla Gravity is a rapidly-growing brand, building bikes for goin' fast, with a do-it-yourself ethos. The company is driven to build highly refined mountain bikes using a more ecologically responsible in-house manufacturing process. This role will build and optimize the marketing programs that will help us add to our happy community of riders. This role is the right fit for those who are interested in driving brand growth through social media, content, and community building marketing strategies.
Education/Experience/Background:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field of study
At least 3 years of marketing, social, public relations, and/or related experience, preferably with some experience in the outdoor and/or biking industry
Interest in mountain bikes (in-depth knowledge an added plus)
Experience with Asana project management software a plus
Responsibilities:
SOCIAL MEDIA - Own the social communications of the brand, including Facebook and Instagram. In a planned, strategic way, broadcast the core values of the brand, directly interact with riders on these mediums, and implement growth tactics to continuously increase brand reach
CREATIVE - Direct graphic designers, web developers, and PPC specialists on ad creation and web design / functionality
CAMPAIGN - Assist with building and executing annual product launches
EMAIL MARKETING - Create and deliver email marketing campaigns in keeping with the consumer journey and on an as-needed basis to improve brand communications with our riders
PR - Interact with external media parties to drive click-through traffic KPI results by building long term relationships with each of these stakeholders
SERVICE SUPPORT - Ensure that after-sale, GG riders have an amazing experience through both responsive 1:1 communication and scaled tactics
ATHLETE / AMBASSADORS - Communicate with and help activate the sales power of GG's large team of influencers and athletes
EVENT COORDINATION - Plan and execute 2-3 annual events for the brand each year
COPYWRITING - Capture and grow the brand voice across the written footprint of the brand - Website Copy, Marketing Copy, Press Releases, etc.
SHOWROOM - Assist with operations of the GG retail showroom, develop tactics to improve in-store experience and conversions
ANALYTICS & REPORTING - Monitor and report results to optimize marketing strategies
Key Performance Indicators:
Sales Performance - Combined with sales team, hit, and exceed revenue targets
E-commerce Performance - Continuously improve e-commerce site performance and user experience
Campaign Performance - Increase GG followers, subscribers, and product/brand awareness
Requirements:
Highly organized in task management and structured in communication
Sophisticated emotional intelligence to answer prospect questions, but avoid oversharing
A growth-driven mindset shaped by testable hypothesis, and understanding of “MVP” implementation
Ability to “cut through” questions, get to the heart of the matter, and bring-forward action
Familiarity with Zendesk or similar customer service software a plus
Bike mechanic skills and experience a plus
Ability to lift 50 lbs
