 Position Summary: 

 

1791 Gunleather is a fast paced, growing shooting accessory company. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling, merchandising, and maintaining inventory levels of 1791 Gunleather products to existing and potential accounts.

Essential Functions of this Role:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Make personal sales calls at established account base on a regular basis
• Work with accounts to effectively manage 1791 Gunleather inventory
• Seek out prospective customers/business opportunities within existing and new accounts
• Stay current on existing and emerging product
• Introduce, demonstrate, and train retail sales associates on new products
• Manage and participate in consumer and retail promotional activities
• Report competitive conditions and feedback from customers to management
• Maintain a professional/working image
• Complete visit and call reports, expense reports, in a timely basis
• Coordinate customer warranty returns and completes proper documentation
• Inform customers of all relevant company policies/procedures and initiatives
• Routinely communicates with Regional Sales Manager and management team
• Performs other duties as instructed or required to successfully complete the job

Work Environment:

• Significant travel within territory (75% Travel), extended hours driving
• Attend trade shows as scheduled

Expected Hours of Work:           

• Must be flexible with schedule
• Must be available to work occasional off-hours
• Must be available during standard business hours
• May be required to work more than 8 hours during a workday

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

• Developed knowledge of the shooting sports and accessory industry
• General knowledge of shooting sports, firearms
• Proven proficiency in the use of a personal computer, tablet
• A valid driver’s license and proven safe driving record
• Enthusiastic communicator
• Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction
• Strong customer service orientation
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats
• Ability to take initiative without direction; self-starter
• Proficient in Excel, Word, CRM program
• Experience with NetSuite a plus
