Sous chef position:
We are a small, well-established guest ranch known for its casual, upscale food, breathtaking views, and relaxed atmosphere. We are located 18 miles from the western town of Jackson at 7,000 feet above sea level. Our season runs from the beginning of June to the end of September each year. We serve 30-40 guests each week in the dining room and/or outdoor buffet cookout.
Our Chef team of three persons are responsible for meal preparation including eggs to order, grilled foods, salads, soups, sauces, appetizers, pastries, breads, and desserts. Chefs will cooperatively prepare breakfast, lunch, and dinner for approximately 40 guests and 25 staff members six days each week. Special attention to plate presentation, grilled foods, and meeting dietary needs is a necessity. Chefs will be responsible for cleaning pots and pans, maintaining a safe and healthy working environment, and maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and kitchen equipment.
We provide a monthly competitive salary, private Room with a shared bathroom, three meals each day, and an end of Season Bonus. We have free laundry, Wi-Fi and phone facilities. Each staff member has one day off each week. On our ranch, as with most ranches, the length of your work day is dictated by the hours needed to complete the job and we are looking for employees that are flexible and willing to put in a hard day’s work.
Wait staff position:
Our season is open from the beginning of June until the end of September. We hire approximately 20 employees to live and work on the ranch, serving roughly 35 guests each week. Primarily, our guests come to the ranch to enjoy horseback riding and fly fishing, great food, comfortable accommodations and incredible scenery. Our wait staff personnel are a team of about 5 individuals. Wait staff duties include, but are not limited to-- daily meal service for about 40 guests in the dining room and in the out of doors, setting up and breaking down before and after each meal, basic preparation for each meal (i.e. restocking salt and pepper shakers, making juices, filling sugar caddies, etc.), the making of sack lunches and maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, staff dining room and guest dining room and bar area. Wait staff will be required to rotate between dishwashing duties throughout the week and help assist housekeeping staff when needed. Housekeeping duties include, but are not limited to-- daily cleaning of our main lodge and washing guest cabin linens each day. Attention to detail is a must, as well as the willingness to dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, make beds, wash and fold laundry and clean toilets and sinks with energy and efficiency.
As with all of our employment positions, we provide: a monthly salary, shared housing with linens, three meals each day, laundry facilities and detergent, phone and internet access (for your laptop) and an end of season bonus. Also, we provide the opportunity to partake in ranch activities on your time off -- horseback riding, fly fishing, mountain biking, hiking, roping lessons -- all in the beauty of Jackson Hole and the majestic Teton Mountain Range.
