Shooting Club Manager

SUMMARY

The Shooting Manager is responsible for assisting with the daily operation of the Shooting Club for the resort.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Duties will include reservations, member and guest check-ins, detailed course instruction, facility cleanliness and maintenance, inventory management, billing and safety briefs. 
  • Evaluate programming for the above stated functions and adapt activities to participant needs.
  • Review programming and conduct safety inspection tours in areas of responsibility to ensure desired standards of quality, service, cleanliness and controls are maintained.
  • Assist with the inventory management for weapons and munitions. Clean and inspect firearms daily.
  • The ability to develop relationships with members, return guests, group contacts, etc., to provide maximum, personalized guest service.
  • Responsible for the appearance and safety of the shooting facilities based upon established standards.
  • Develop a sense of community, familiarity, professionalism, and friendliness for the Shooting Club operations.
  • Properly handle reservations for members and guests, ensure a smooth arrival/check in experience, detailed safety and course instruction, and fond farewell.
  • Act as trapper for shooters on the course and in instruction venues.
  • Assist shooting instructors with group management and firearms handling.
  • Daily maintenance to Golf Carts, in Club office and on Shooting course to include: sweeping, clearing brush, picking up hulls, etc.
  • Stock Ammunition and Clay targets. Clean and secure, maintain and reposition clay throwing machines as needed.
  • Provide guest transportation to and from Shooting Club.
  • Oversee staff and operations at Shooting Club day to day.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong guest service background. Ability to provide a high level of service, programming, and instruction for our guests and members.
  • Knowledge of shooting programming and facility management.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including, weekends and holidays.
  • Must have a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Must adhere to and instruct others on all safety procedures.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Preferred previous hospitality experience preferred.
  • Preferred at least 3 years of prior shooting club experience.
  • Preferred First Aid, CPR, and AED certified.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The Associate will work mainly outdoors and in a structured tent.  The Associate will be required to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to heavy. Ability to drive a golf cart and /or motor vehicle as needed. Required to reach with arms and hands; bend and stoop; stand and walk; and remain at post for extended periods of time. Must have visual acuity. The Associate is required to work with machinery and to lift/ move up to 50 pounds regularly.
