Job Overview

The position of Member Development Manager is a full-time, exempt position. The primary responsibility of the Member Development Manager is growth and retention of  National ARVC membership in the assigned geographic area (Florida and Alabama). In addition, the Member Development Manager will provide National ARVC members in Florida and Alabama an opportunity to expand their engagement with other National ARVC members by creating local networking events. The ideal candidate is someone who knows how to build relationships and has a proven track record in sales. National ARVC offices are based in Centennial (Denver), CO, but this position must be based in Florida with an opportunity to work remotely as responsibilities allow.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

=    Act as a point of contact for existing and not-yet members within the assigned region, striving to build authentic relationships and always exceed member expectations;

=    Present benefits of National ARVC membership, pricing and programs to existing and not-yet members with the goal of increasing and retaining membership in the assigned region;

=    Work closely with National ARVC ambassadors in the assigned region as well as with other National ARVC team members to meet organizational growth goals and report on regional membership growth results;

=    Identify local opportunities and challenges, needs of members and not-yet members, and recommend tangible solutions;

=    Build relationships with non-campground members (including suppliers, government officials, etc.) in an effort to expand National ARVC’s supplier council and advocacy efforts in the assigned region;

=    Collaborate with other National ARVC team members to share best practices, support a cohesive sales approach and develop ideas for needed marketing and promotional materials;

=    Cross-sell products, when appropriate;

=    Regularly maintain accurate database information for members and not-yet members in the assigned region;

=    Manage regional content/communications for National ARVC members and not-yet members (including newsletters, websites, webinars, etc);

=    Represent, promote and manage on-site exhibits for National ARVC at any trade or consumer shows in the region;

=    Keep up-to-date on industry best practices and promotional trends; and

=    Actively participate in staff objectives, goals, member events and meetings.

 

Qualifications and Skills

 

=    BS/BA degree or equivalent;

 

=    Highly-motivated and target-driven with a proven track record as a sales representative or account manager;

 

=    Previous experience in the outdoor hospitality industry or private campground industry, preferred. Experience in nonprofit, member-focused associations, a plus but not required;

 

=    Demonstrated ability to complete assignments, meet deadlines and work independently or in a team environment;

 

=    Ability to exercise good judgment, sound reasoning skills and discretion in making independent decisions commensurate with responsibilities;

 

=    Excellent communication, time management, organizational and relationship-building skills;

 

=    Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs;

 

=    Excellent knowledge of MS Office 365; and

 

=    Knowledge of project management software and association (AMS)/customer management software (CMS).

Travel Requirement

30-35%
