 Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) is in search of a Chief Manufacturing Engineer to work in our Mayodan, NC facility. 

 

As a Chief Engineer, you must possess a working knowledge of process development and lean manufacturing techniques and have a strong background in metal removal. The responsibilities of this position include mentoring less experienced engineers and team members; mentoring Manufacturing Engineers through all phases of process development; developing and implementing engineering standards and practices; critically reviewing fixtures and gage designs; working closely with employees at all levels of the company including those in Product Design, Sales and Project Management; leading and developing the Manufacturing Engineering team to sustaining company initiatives; maintaining standard operating procedures; representing the facility speaking technically on a variety of subjects; reviewing project and company metrics; and adhering to Ruger’s core values of Integrity, Respect, Innovation and Teamwork.

 

This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years practical manufacturing engineering experience including CNC Machining and product assembly.
