Job Description & Requirements
Summary
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer who will help us advance our E-products, including electric bicycles, scooters and battery ride-ons. You will carry out various engineering tasks, such as performing calculations to ensure our systems meet the global safety standards and collaborating with technicians to solve emerging issues. You’ll also research on manufacturing processes and analyze data and trends to create new products. Ultimately, you will improve our company’s products and processes and contribute to its growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Design, control, and implement electrical systems and products
- Work with our vendors to develop manufacturing processes according to global engineering codes and standards
- Manage E-Product engineering projects with the Product Development and Category Management team and deliver them on time
- Define consumer and customer needs and requirements
- Ensure that E-product systems and applications are in line with customer needs and safety standards
- Collaborate with the Product Development and Category Management team to design and apply new system processes
- Perform quality and performance analysis on new and legacy products
- Work with key battery, controller and motor vendors to enhance these systems and elevate our products
- Work with Purchasing to find and evaluate new vendors for electrical components

Education and/or Experience
- Proven expertise as an Electrical Engineer
- Hands-on experience using design and calculation software
- Deep knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes, specifically batteries, electrical motors and controllers
- Understanding of Electrical Engineering codes and safety standards
- A degree in Electrical Engineering; MSc is a plus
Language Skills
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
