Senior Accounting Analyst

Our Anoka, MN location is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to add to our team.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting analysis on various transactions and maintain a high level of accuracy in a timely manner.
• Ensure proper SOX controls are maintained.
• Ad HOC special projects and analysis to support the overall business.
• Assist with Risk Assessment and Analysis to address financial statement and reporting risks.
• Provide Internal and External Audit Support.
• Analyze data for audit requests.
• Development of new structure as needed and assist with special transactions.
• Creation of procedures related to new structure.
• Collaborate with the Corporate Tax Department to resolve sales tax questions and issues.
• Contribute to Month-end close Process
• Balance Sheet and Income Statement analysis before results are published
• Determine need for journal entries & additional month-end close procedures
• Account Reconciliations for Inventory in Transit, Prepaid Assets, & Received not Billed (others to be assigned
• Assist in reconciling interdepartmental transactions (IDT)
• Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA Preferred)
• 4-6 years of experience in one or more of the following: Public accounting, General accounting, SOX Compliance, or Expenditures
• Strong knowledge of Generally Applied Accounting Principles.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and experience in financial ERP solutions. (Microsoft AX, Alteryx, Workiva and/or Planful a plus)
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
• Comfortable working with individuals throughout an organization including all levels of management
