Process Engineer

Nester Hosiery, LLC is searching for a Process Engineer to assess, monitor, and enhance business performance for our organization. In this role, you will analyze current practices and develop business process improvements as well as implement changes in workflows, structures, and teams to ensure continuous company performance.

To ensure success as a Process Engineer, you should be a skilled communicator and be adept at business analysis and project implementation. An exceptional Process Engineer should understand the latest management methodologies.

Process Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Researching, pricing, and assisting in the purchase of new equipment
  • Designing new equipment as required and redesigning the production process in the factory or plant.
  • Designing, modifying, and overseeing processes to guarantee maximum output with minimum defects in the production line.
  • Writing, maintaining, and collecting required paperwork to show compliance with safety protocols.
  • Collecting and interpreting data on efficiency and budgets to report to senior management.
  • Analyzing every detail and step of the production process to reduce costs, increase productivity and optimize the production line
  • Developing process enhancement strategies using Lean/SixSigma methodologies.
  • Investigating shortfalls, issues, and complaints in current business processes.
  • Establishing norms and standards of company performance.
  • Monitoring staff performance and organizational processes through continuous improvement.
  • Work cross functionally with all levels of management and team members.
  • Training, mentoring, and guiding team members in new processes through Kaizen activities.
  • Staying up to date with developments in management and process optimization.
  • Meeting deadlines through a fast-paced environment.
  • Mathematical: The Process engineer will need excellent mathematical abilities as they spend significant amounts of time collecting data and calculating optimal output. They will also use their math skills to make minor adjustments that can result in important product improvements. 
  • Analytical: The Process engineer will constantly review and revise manufacturing and engineering processes to ensure optimization. This involves analyzing each step of the process and examining entire assembly lines, which requires excellent analytical skills.

Process Engineer Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, process management, or operations.
  • 3-5years' experience in process optimization, operations, or business management.
  • Lean/SixSigma Blackbelt certified or Lean instruction certified.
  • A strategic and analytical mindset.
  • An excellent communicator with top-notch presentation skills.
  • A thorough understanding of the latest process enhancement strategies.
  • Dynamic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Confidence in your abilities to lead organizational change.
  • Experience and working knowledge of 6S processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
