Job Description & Requirements

Job Title: Dealership General Manager  

Location: Southern California Area 

Company: Four Wheel Campers

Reports to: Head of Sales 

Pay Range: $90-100K, Plus Target Incentive: $20-30K 

Summary:  

This is a site leadership role for a key company location in Southern California. This role oversees the entire site, including the budget, sales, service, inventory, showroom, and building upkeep, etc. This role also manages two key individuals, a sales lead and a technical lead. 

Functions and Responsibilities: 

  • Site Leader - responsible for the budget, sales revenue, team performance, inventory, and expenses.  
  • Management – ensure the sales lead and technical lead are supported and achieve revenue and service goals  
  • Scheduling - service, warranty, and installation appointments. 
  • Training - oversee and train service technicians. Help Service technicians with camper installations and repairs as necessary. 
  • Inventory - maintain and order parts inventory and supplies for needed service warranty and installations. 
  • Payments - communicate with customers and corporate headquarters for final payment balances for customers.  Maintain banking deposits and records for the store, and sales.  
  • Maintenance - perform truck maintenance as required on shop trucks 
  • Building Upkeep – ensure the building is kept current with necessary fire inspections and backflow testing.  Maintain facility, maintenance and cleanliness.  Maintain showroom campers so they are fully functional and for customers. 
  • Sales - interact with customers in the showroom and educate them on Four Wheel Campers and options.  Discuss truck requirements and options. 
  • Technical Questions - help customers navigate technical questions with plumbing, propane, electrical, structural and waterproofing as they arise. 
  • Working Hours – Monday – Friday 8 AM – 5 PM, with some Saturdays or Weekends during peak demand periods and trade show season.  

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Dealer/Retail – experience as location manager for sales and service  
  • Sales - experience and good overall understanding of customer satisfaction and service. 
  • RV Industry - knowledge in 12v electrical systems, plumbing, and propane systems troubleshooting and service. 
  • Truck Industry – achieve a good understanding of modern pickup truck electrical systems and differences in factory suspension system set-ups and how these vary between make and model. 
  • Outdoor Industry - general knowledge of off-roading, camping and overlanding activities. 
  • Forklift - certification and understanding requirements with operating and unloading heavy loads. 
  • Problem Solving - ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently. 
  • Technical Acumen - ability to understand technical product details and explain them clearly to customers. 
  • CRM - familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools. 
  • Microsoft – good knowledge of Outlook and Excel software.  
  • Availability - must be willing and able to work some 12-day intervals when doing trade shows 4-5 times per year.  
  • Organization – ability to be organized and streamlined with required work.  
  • Education - Bachelor's degree preferred in business or related field.  

 

Physical Demands: 

  • Able to stand or walk for long periods, during an 8-hour shift. 
  • Lift 25-50 pounds. 
  • Able to bend stoop & kneel to enter camper on truck.
