Credit Agent 
Location: Western USA or Western Canada (PST or MST)
Employment Type: Full-Time

 

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Agent to join our finance team. This role plays a key part in managing client accounts across the U.S., improving cash flow, minimizing bad debt, and maintaining strong relationships within our client network.

 

What You’ll Do:

• Manage account collections and negotiate with clients to resolve credit issues promptly

• Maintain and reconcile client accounts, including a selection of major accounts

• Analyze credit requests and client financial statements

• Provide recommendations for credit limits and terms

• Draft and follow up on contracts and manage bankruptcy case files

• Authorize seasonal and booking orders in line with credit policies

• Support month-end processes and prepare AR reports

• Collaborate closely with the sales team and participate in industry credit meetings

• Monitor the U.S. general credit department email box and handle credit card reimbursements

 

What You Bring:

• College diploma in Business Administration (or related field)

• Minimum 5 years of experience in credit, collections, or accounts receivable

• Strong negotiation, organization, and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Bilingual (English/French) and legal knowledge are assets

• Experience in the sports or distribution industry is a plus

• Hard-working, autonomous, and customer-focused
