Independent Sales Representative for Theft Prevention / Recovery Trackers and Locators

Position Summary

The Galeo Group seeks independent sales representatives in a variety of outdoor recreational markets to represent and sell our products to retailers and dealers. The products are rugged, battery-powered, asset tracking and recovery products. These products are suitable for mounting in or on a variety of recreational equipment types, including ATVs, bicycles, boats, kayaks, trailers, motorcycles, snowmobiles, UTVs and more. The purpose of the products is to provide on-demand location services to allow missing products to be quickly recovered - be those products stolen, in the case of an independent owner, or lost with an outfitter/guide service that has customers that have not arrived at a check/exit point in their trip. The products are rugged, margins for retailers are great, and they are built in the USA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Regular telephonic interaction with accounts that may be interested in carrying the product
  • Regular visits, in territory, to existing and potential new accounts for the product
  • Regular interactions with Galeo to discuss retail feedback, strategies for improving product positioning/placement, and improving the ability for the retailer to successful sell the product
  • Regular training on Galeo products and software, facilitated by Galeo, to effectively describe and market the products to retailers
  • Regular feedback to Galeo on how to improve the training experience to effectively equip retailers to knowledgably represent and sell the product
  • Supporting in-territory visits with Galeo team members to accounts (both successful and struggling, established and aspirational) 
  • Supporting Galeo with some trade show / exposition activity (when appropriate for territory)
  • Supporting Galeo with product demonstrations for retailers
Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to connect to a significant potential retailer audience
  • Experience working in the segment of interest, with personal and professional history in the product space
  • Energetic, forward thinking, collaborative, self-starting attitude to sales
  • Ability to make persuasive presentations in a structured and unstructured environment
  • Operationally sound, with good judgement and strong sales performance focus
