Position Overview:
Revelyst Outdoor Performance is seeking a driven, entrepreneurial Independent Sales Representative or sales agency to grow our business across an assigned U.S. territory. This opportunity is focused on the outdoor specialty and premium lifestyle retail channels. In this context, outdoor specialty refers specifically to accounts that service activities such as hiking, biking, climbing, and skiing—not including fishing, hunting, or similar segments. The premium lifestyle channel includes high-end apparel retailers that focus on style, quality, and performance, offering elevated shopping experiences that appeal to discerning consumers. Both channels are dynamic, community-driven, and built on trust, expertise, and authenticity—ideally suited to those with a strong understanding of how passionate consumers engage with the outdoors.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for representing the Revelyst Outdoor Performance brands—building deep, lasting relationships with retail partners, increasing sell-through performance, and delivering excellent service. This is a field-based role that demands high retailer touch, a strategic mindset, and a proven ability to drive results in a competitive market.
We’re looking for a rep team with established relationships, local knowledge, and a passion for the outdoors lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve monthly revenue and growth targets within the assigned territory.
- Build and maintain strong retailer relationships to maximize Revelyst Outdoor Performance brand’s market share and brand presence.
- Travel extensively within the designated territory, meeting with specialty retailers and providing exceptional value by being present in key retail doors monthly.
- Present and sell Revelyst Outdoor Performance products, programs, and promotions, ensuring effective merchandising and in-store execution.
- Conduct regular store visits, product clinics, and training sessions to educate dealers and their staff on Revelyst Outdoor Performance brands technologies and brand initiatives.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and drive performance.
- Work closely with internal teams (sales, marketing, and customer service) to ensure seamless account management.
- Represent Revelyst Outdoor Performance brands at trade shows, dealer meetings, and consumer events to strengthen retailer engagement and brand advocacy.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting on sales performance, forecasts, and competitive insights.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in the outdoor, lifestyle, or sporting goods industry.
- Strong knowledge of outdoor industry trends, retailers, and competitive landscape.
- Proven ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accountability and organization.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory, including overnight travel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.
- Passion for the outdoors and the outdoor lifestyle is a strong plus.
