Running Rivers Inc. is a kayak rental, sales and livery business operating on the Kalamazoo River in the Lake Michigan resort towns of Saugatuck/Douglas. The area is a popular summer vacation destination and Running Rivers Kayaks is on the river in the heart of the shopping and restaurant district. Operating out of a concession trailer in Wades Bayou Park, we provide one to eight hour trips on the Kalamazoo for vacationers of all ages. Started in 2002 with 10 boats, our sales doubled in 2005 and our four month season gross sales reached $48,000 and our overhead remains low.
