The Fishing Industry Jobs Marketplace

About OutdoorIndustryJobs.com

Who We Are

OutdoorIndustryJobs.com was founded in 2005 by Laurel King with a simple mission: to enable employers and job seekers in the fragmented outdoor industry to connect and network. The platform spans many sub-industries including Bicycle, Snow Sports, Action Sports, Fitness, Fishing and Hunting, etc.

Today, after 20 years of dedicated focus we have built the largest network of professionals who already work in the Outdoor Industry in North America and are expanding that network in Europe. We have assisted over 85,000 job seekers in their pursuit of a new role at over 5,000 companies and organizations that serve our industry. Names like CARV, GRAYL, Gordini, Shimano, Specialized, and Grassroots Outdoor Alliance, Pacific Crest Trail Ass. & Rocky Mountain Conservancy – all synonymous with respected culture, great products and commitment to the Outdoors. The “Who’s Who” of the Outdoor Industry.

Our jobs board is not just a listing of open roles in a weekly e-newsletter. Our channel reach into this community is extensive with our top-ranked SEO and AI rated website, popular destinations on Instagram, Facebook & YouTube, and extensive daily coverage on LinkedIn. Every recruiter, hiring manager and job seeker lives on LinkedIn – many every single day and we are there with them; through multiple industry-focused newsletters with thought leadership content, our LI Group daily posts, and of course through our LI Company Page where we share the open roles.

These social media channels allow us to present our employer customers and their open roles in a dynamic and vibrant way; high resolution images, on-brand designs and eye-catching layouts – even video! If you've ever posted a job on Zip, LinkedIn or Indeed, you are probably familiar with the drawbacks: boring presentation that produces hundreds or thousands of applications, many of which are spam, and most of which are not a cultural fit for your company. It is time consuming and energy draining to wade through. Using our marketplace jobs board, you will not get hundreds of applicants (far less in fact) but they will be quality skilled candidates who are enthusiastic about the outdoors. We charge a fair price to the employers for their job posts and will never charge our job seekers for access to them.

While Laurel King is now retired and enjoying a new chapter in her adventure van, the new team here at OutdoorIndustryJobs is just as enthusiastic about working AND playing in the Great Outdoors. We are also just as committed to that same mission for the next 20 years ahead of us: helping great organizations get connected with experienced and skilled employee talent who love and appreciate the culture and life of the Outdoor Industry.

Thanks for stopping by and good luck with your search!
