Company Description
The mission of the Tahoe Rim Trail Association (TRTA) is to maintain and enhance the Tahoe Rim Trail (TRT) system, practice and inspire stewardship, and preserve access to the natural beauty of the Lake Tahoe region. TRTA Trail maintenance helps mitigate the human impacts of an estimated 700,000 annual trail users and ensures that the trail can be sustained for generations to come. Guided programs educate and inspire individuals to recreate responsibly using wilderness education and Leave No Trace principles. Scholarships are available for youth programs to ensure that financial barriers don’t prevent anyone from developing a love for nature. The TRTA is the primary resource for recreation on the TRT and uses that position to empower and inspire more people to protect and connect with Tahoe’s wild places.
