Company Description
Daily Tasks:
- Ensuring bike service is prioritized, planned and coordinated to meet the requirements of each estimated date of completion.
- Organizing and facilitating training for the service staff.
- Mentoring and enhancing the performance of the bike service shop staff.
- Assembling, maintaining and repairing bikes with a high level of attention to detail, while maintaining a flow of efficiency.
- Continuing to increase the efficiency of protocol pertaining to incoming and outgoing mechanical services.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment throughout the service department
- Working collaboratively as a contributing member of the Senior Staff Team. Fulfilling Senior Staff duties when required e.g. floor supervision and coordination
- Wearing multiple hats when required, stepping up to help patrons through merchandise and bicycle related sales, and services.
Additional Pre-requisites:
- Experience in bike assembly, repair and maintenance in a bike shop
- Experience working with a variety of bikes. Primarily High end Road bikes, along with Triathlon, Cycle Cross, Hybird, Mountain, and Kids Bikes.
- Knowledgeable about latest bike equipment and technologies
- Strong leadership skills and team orientation
- Passion for cycling
- Mechanical aptitude
- Wheel Building (Not required, but recommended)
- Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated organization and time management skills
- English communication skills, oral and written
- Retail or customer service experience
- Availability to work Full Time between Monday - Saturday (Additional Day off negotiable)
- Knowledge of MAC based computer systems (Shop utilizes i-Mac system, along with Litespeed Point of Sales program)
