Company Description

The Wildwood Outdoor Education Center is located approximately 40 miles south of Overland Park, Kansas, just east of highway 69.  Surrounded by an 1,100 acre wildlife refuge, Wildwood consists of 150 acres of rolling wooded hills and meadows.

The Wildwood Outdoor School Program is an opportunity for children to learn and grow through new awareness.  Students use nature’s own powerful tools to learn more about basic subjects from language arts to nature studies.  Outdoor School offers a new environment in which students and teachers alike will be “learning by doing”.

Most schools that visit Wildwood spend one special day involved in the Adventure Challenge Program.

This 5 hour program presents students with a series of hands-on experiences in problem solving and communication through physical and creative team efforts.  Within safety guidelines, the students will be challenged during the day and will practice planning, use their imaginations, develop successful communication skills, develop critical thinking skills and experience a lot of cooperative learning.

Instructors for the program are highly trained, mature individuals who are hired specifically for the job.  They are skilled in adventure education and safety.

We are hiring for our Fall Outdoor School Season (September- October) pay is $65 per day and does include lodging.
