Company Description
Bicycle sharing is a convenient, flexible, healthy and fun transportation option that enhances urban livability and mobility. NYC Bike Share, LLC (NYCBS) is headquartered in Sunset Park, Brooklyn and operates Citi Bike, the nation’s largest bike share system. NYCBS is responsible for every aspect of the Citi Bike program, from repairing and rebalancing bikes, to maintaining the stations and docking points, to marketing the program and educating people about bike share. Citi Bike is in the midst of expansion and plans to grow from 6,000 to 12,000 bikes between now and the end of 2017.
NYC Bike Share’s parent company, Motivate Co., also oversees 9 additional bike share programs in Boston, DC, Chicago, Bay Area, Melbourne, Toronto, Chattanooga, Columbus, and (the newest addition) Seattle.
