WANT TO SPEND NEXT SUMMER LIVING AT THE LAKE?
We are looking for couples to work as Camp Host for next summer at Smithville Lake in the Kansas City, Missouri area. The couples primary purpose in this seasonal position is to represent the Parks department as a host to park visitors assist in collecting fees and providing visitor assistance by responding to visitor requests (day/night). Organizational skills to assist tracking and assigning camping for over 700 campsites. Inform public of rules and regulations, give general information, give directions, and answers various questions about park operations and park resources. Handle and accurately count money and make change. Operate basic office equipment and two-way radios. Camp Host couples live on site during the camping season (roughly April – September) in their own RV/Camper fee-free and work shifts between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. as scheduled. As the season slows, there are sometimes split shifts. Weekends and Holidays are mandatory and there are sometimes split shifts. Compensation includes a fee-free campground spot for own RV or camper and $12.00 per hour for hours worked. Host must be at least 18 years old, legally licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle and have own camping unit.
