Spring, Summer and Fall, seasonal opportunities to join the Adventure Park team. Excellent paid training, flexible hours and a friendly, rewarding work environment.

 

Mandatory training occurs in March (see dates below) - attendance is a must to be eligible for this position!

Training Dates:

  • Option A - Friday March 8 through Sunday March 10
  • Option B - Monday March 18 through Thursday March 21

The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring is an Accredited Operation by The Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT). Individual challenge and achievement is at the core of The Adventure Park guest experience. The Park is an outdoor unguided climbing and zipping adventure which challenges each guest to combine strength, strategy and balance to navigate through their choice of 14 trails and more than 240 climbing elements utilizing the safest available equipment.

What you’ll do

As a Park Monitor, you will be responsible for every aspect of the guest climbing experience. You will deliver exceptional guest service by assisting guests with harnessing and gear orientation, providing safety briefings, and observing activity areas. You will also enforce the highest safety standards by observing participants, conducting opening and closing duties (including daily course inspections), and handling protective equipment.

What you’re like

You have excellent communication skills, are a quick and independent learner, and are able to adapt to new situations smoothly. You’re able to perform tasks under pressure, and handle challenging situations professionally. You are highly safety conscious at all time. You possess a friendly disposition and demonstrate a positive attitude in all interactions with guests and other staff.

Schedule

Part-time and full-time positions are available. Expect to work a variety of shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.

Requirements

  • Must be comfortable working at heights of up to 65 feet
  • Requires standing and moving for an entire shift
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be comfortable working outside, exposed to all weather conditions
