Retail Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Retail Operations Coordinator at Basecamp, where outdoor adventure meets exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing an outstanding retail experience. As a Retail Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our store and the satisfaction of our customers.

Responsibilities

Manage Shopify Operations: Monitor Shopify daily for online orders, ensuring product

information is accurate and up to date. This includes modifying product photos, adjusting sales

channels, and maintaining overall inventory levels.

Brand-aligned Signage Creation: Develop visually appealing signage that aligns with the Basecamp brand to enhance the in-store experience for our customers.

Marketing Strategies Implementation: Utilize various marketing strategies, including social media, email subscriptions, and online presence, to engage customers and drive involvement with the Basecamp community.

Order Management: Process customer orders placed via B2B channels or through representatives, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment. Place 'at-once' orders for low-inventory items, adhering to budgetary constraints.

Seasonal Ordering: Coordinate Fall and Spring preseason orders, adhering to set timelines for submission. Spring preseason orders are typically due June-July of the previous year, while Fall ordering occurs from January to March.

Document Organization: Maintain organized records of placed orders, preseason orders, customer orders, and ordering/catalog forms to facilitate efficient operations.

Rental Management: Handle sizing, tracking, and returns of ski, snowboard, snowshoe, and paddleboard rentals. Contact individuals with seasonal rentals at the end of the season, utilizing email reminders as needed.

Store Maintenance: Clean and rearrange the store layout to ensure a visually appealing and shoppable environment for customers.

Community Engagement Events: Collaborate with the team to create and execute events aimed at fostering community involvement and enhancing the Basecamp brand.

Staff Management: Oversee a small group of staff members by managing scheduling and delegating daily tasks to ensure operational efficiency.

• Previous experience in retail operations or a related field preferred.

• Proficiency in Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Passion for outdoor activities and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Experience in the outdoor industry whether it be guiding, retail, or maintenance, at least five
• years.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of ski technician work and/or maintenance.
• Knowledge about hard goods in climbing, skiing, trail running, hiking, backpacking, mountaineering, etc.

This position is full-time salary, exemption position which includes health insurance and an employee discount.
